Work entitled Field Hotel and Mount Stephen, Kicking Horse Valley, in the Rockies, by Edward Roper.
Subject depicts a landscape with a stream, a train station, train and mountains. There is a train approaching from the left; numerous figures are around the station. The purple mountain in the background is dominating and appears to be capped with snow.

The support of this watercolour is still attached to part of a frame on the top and right margins.
