Scope and content
Image depicting immigrants disembarking in a busy port. The foreground, being the deck of a ship, includes three main characters: an aged woman sitting with her head resting on her hand; a clean-shaven man sitting cross-legged on the deck with his open suitcase before him; a bearded man smoking a pipe while standing between the two others, his arms full of his belongings. The background reveals the hustle and bustle of a variety of ships leaving and entering the port.
Item is matted and framed (frame may be removed later). The work itself is in fairly good condition except for some warping in the upper right corner. The matting is stained and spotted.
