Scope and content

This painting is a copy of an earlier work by Heriot, "Fall of Saint Anne's 30 Miles N. East from Quebec", dated 1806, owned by Dr. P. A. Forman. (see G. Finley's book, "George Heriot: Postmaster-Painter of the Canadas", p. 249, #130.)
