This painting is a copy of an earlier Heriot work "Quebec Pointe Lévis from Ange Gardien 12 Miles from Québèc" from 1805, from a private collection. (see G. Finley's book "George Heriot: Postmaster-Painter of the Canadas", p. 247 no. 112)
