Scope and content

Hand coloured etching of the harbour of Quebec City. The view is imaginary, the artist never saw Québec. The reversed writing is meant to be seen in the mirror of a viewing machine.
There were originally three copies of each print in the series in the William Molson Macpherson Collection. The Archives now has at least two of each print. They are numbered 1989-514-80X to -89X consecutively. The pair of this print is 1989-514-88X. This work was once framed.
