Scope and content

The work depicts a view of the Association's Building (?)
The Dufferin Addresses are comprised of 3 volumes of bound addresses presented to His Excellency the Right Honourable the Earl of Dufferin, while Governor-General of Canada from 1872-1878.
They are expressions of the sentiments of Canadians from across the country during his tenure, and also include one joint address from the Senate and the House of Commons on the occasion of his departure.
There are 413 items including manuscripts solely comprised of script; illuminated manuscript; and also some bearing more elaborate vignettes and decorative artwork.
