Scope and content

Similar in composition to acc. no. 1989-176-113 [Looking up the Fraser River near New Westminster, July 30, 1887]. These works depict various townspeople strolling on a boardwalk along the Fraser River.
This work is part of a set of drawings [acc. nos. 1989-176-140 to 1989-176-148] originally placed in a wooden box with the title "EAST TO WEST ACROSS THE DOMINION OF CANADA" carved in the lid.
