Scope and content
This is a print published by the American Art Union after a painting which was presented to an Art Union winner.
The Thompson Album consists of 468 pages on which drawings, watercolours, prints and reproductions dating from the 1830s to the 1880s have been glued down. There are also some loos prints. The Album was probably compiled by a member of the family of Sir John Thompson, the fourth Prime Minister of Canada.
