Additional information

Described by the RECON project.

Chadwick Sandles was one of the 100,000 British children who crossed the Atlantic between the 1870s and 1930s. Most of these young immigrants, known as "Home Children", settled successfully in their adoptive country, despite new hardships. Today, it is estimated that one out of ten Canadians is related to a Home Child.
