Seated in front: Miss F. Wright; Miss Clarke. Couples in front row: Mr. Tasker as "Governor Winthrop" and Miss Cargill as "Madame de Monts"; Mrs. Stairs as "Lady Andros" and John F. Stairs as "Sir Edmund Andros"; Mrs. George Perley in black brocade and yellow silk as "Madame Denys" and Dewdney Jones in purple silk velvet as "Captain Daniel"; Miss E. Powell and Mr. Tyrwhitt; Miss Wright and Mr. Jackson. Couples in back row: Mrs. Spain and Mr. Lawless; Mrs. Gillies and Mr. St-Denis Lemoine; Miss Cutler and Mr. Eaton; Cameron Stanton. This group represents the fourth historic group at the Historical Fancy Dress Ball hosted by Lord and Lady Aberdeen on February 17th, 1896. The group's bourrée was the most complicated dance of the evening, which was choreographed by dancing instructor Professor Frank H. Norman.
