Vital statistics Notice (In Eskimo) - As near as can be ascertained the following is the interpretation: "All Inuets (Natives) are thus instructed: Those of you who have children observe this: 1. The police shall be informed of all births as soon as possible, the year, the month and the day and the names are not to be forgotten. 2. Children should be named soon after births, so that the police may be told. 3. In the winter at any camp when a child is born, the date, etc., should be written down. 4. Innuet (natives) are instructed to understand this, so that the Innuet (Native) must speak at such time when the police ask. 5. The Innuet (natives) usually answer "I do not know" or "I forget". This is not right. The Innuet (Native) must not forget. 6. It will be a cause of thankfulness to the police in the Innuet (natives) observe these commands well in the future
