Additional information

This original copy of the Proclamation of the Constitution Act, 1982 was created as a duplicate of the one signed by HM Queen Elizabeth II at the ceremony on Parliament Hill, 17 April 1982 (see RG 68 vol 886). Damaged by a protester in 1983, this second copy is informally known as the 'stained' version. A framed reproduction of the 'stained" version of the Proclamation is vol 3353.
