Title taken from cartouche along top of map. Statement of responsibility taken from small cartouche on bottom right of map.

Illustrations celebrate the abudance of whales and seals in the Arctic region. Also shows ships, sleigh & reindeer. Includes a dotted line showing the routes that the ships sailed.

Includes 2 bar scales: Miliaria germanica, quorum 15 uni gradui respondent -- Hispanicae leucae 17 1/2 uni, grudui competenticia.

Part of the Alexander E. MacDonald Canadiana Collection purchased by the Public Archives of Canada in 1981.
