Scope and content

A lavish illustration by J.E.H. Macdonald advertising an exhibition of pictures by Canadian artists in aid of the Patriotic Fund. Canada is represented by a woman adorned with patriotic symbols. She stands between a group of soldiers marching to war and a farmer who holds a plough. In the background at the upper right are ships which carry troops and supplies to Britain's aid.
