Scope and content
The Registrar General of Canada is the custodian of the Great Seal of Canada, the Privy Seal of the Governor General, the Seal of the Administrator of Canada, and the Seal of the Registrar General of Canada. These four seals are required for the issuance of formal documents by the Government of Canada as outlined in the Regulations Respecting the Issue of Formal Documents C.R.C., c. 1331. This series contains records related to the creation, design and issuance of the various Seals of Canada.
