Scope and content

This series contains 121 photographs of Ottawa and its surrounding area, and other places in Ontario, Québec, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. Many of the photographs should buildings and offices in Ottawa, and there are many exterior and interior views of Rideau Hall, including photographs of the main entrance, drawing and dining rooms, a bedroom, a theatre, and a greenhouse. Also included are photographs of maple sugar camps in Québec, studio portraits of important figures (Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Hon. W. G. Perley, etc.), and a few composite photographs.
