Biography / Administrative history

Brothers George, Alex and David Davidson were all involved in this company, likely as partners, which opereated in a number of small communities in Manitoba in the 1880s and 1890s. Alex had a studio in Rapid City in 1888 but moved to Carberry later that year. He was joined by George in 1890 and the two of them remained there until 1893, at which time David joined them and they moved to Melita. The brothers took up permanent residence in Deloraine later that same year.
The Davidson brothers remained in that town until 1899 when David and Alex moved to Brandon, while George stayed in Deloraine. The studio closed in 1912.
