Accession consists of central registry files from the Special Surveys Division. The files are related to survey work performed by government departments (Health and Welfare Canada, Manpower and Immigration Canada, etc) under the 'Ten Respondents Rule'. The 'Ten Respondents Rule' states that government departments performing surveys with more than ten respondents must consult with Statistics Canada to ensure that their methodology is correct and work is not duplicated.
