Additional information
These records consist of Immigration registry subject files dated from 1965 to 1976 at Pacific Regional Headquarters of EIC in Vancouver. Topics covered include narrative and statistical reports of Immigration activities, inquiries from the public, appointment of formal inquiry officers, federal-provincial agreements on medical services to immigrants, changes to the Immigration Appeal Board Act, allocation of work permits to individual employers and immigrants in British Columbia, miscellaneous procedural files, records on Immigration cases appealed to the Federal Court of Canada, and immigration of Chilean refugees and East Indian expellees from Uganda. The files were originally created in the 5000 block (third registry system); all but one have been converted to the fourth (8000 block) registry system.
