Additional information
This accession consists of records that were created by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's English Services Division (ESD) in Toronto. It contains the office files of some former ESD employees, the departmental office files of two ESD departments and the files of ESD that were part of the official central registry system. Among the office files of former employees are those of John Adaskin, producer of radio variety and music programs (boxes 1-12); Reid Foresee, producer of radio institutional programs (boxes 15-43) and Dan McCarthy, producer of various radio programs (boxes 13-14).
The departmental offices files are those of the Talks and Public Affairs Department (boxes 44-149 and 210-213) consisting mostly of program scripts and transcripts and those of the Information Services Department (boxes 150-154).
The central registry files consist of the administrative and operational files of the various ESD programming departments including talks and public affairs, news, religions, variety sports, farms, educational, children, political and institutional programmes.
