The great part of this accession (Boxes 4 to 29) consist of "thin" Adjudication case files as described in Accessions V85-86/465, V85-86/479 and V85-86/480. The first three boxes of this accession contain a mixture of two slightly different case file types, although the file numbers remain part of the same series and there is no identifying prefix. The first type are adjudication cases that have been appealed to the Immigration Appeal Board or the Federal Court of Canada. These have written on the file jacket "Appeal" and are the same type described in V85-86/479. The second category are hearings on cases where the individual claims refugee status. These are somewhat thicker and have "refugee" written on the jacket.
