Additional information
This accession contains a variety of mineral policy and commodity files from various offices and defunct registry systems of the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR). Although predominantly from the early 1970s, the files span a thirty year time period and deal with topics such as Operation September, international economic cooperation, mineral policy reviews, memoranda to cabinet, uranium, correspondence with individual corporations and other subjects. The files in boxes 8-15 were maintained by EMR as classified ("secret") files; the files in boxes 16-22 were maintained by EMR in its City Centre offices in Ottawa.
