Additional information

This accession consists of central registry files transferred from the Thompson River District Office. The Thompson River District Office, located in Kamloops, B.C., was opened in 1969 as the result of the amalgamation of the Lytton, Kamloops, and Nicola Agencies. In 1976, the Thompson River District Office was merged with the Kootenay-Okanagan District Office to form the Central Interior District Office.

The records consist of both administrative and operational files. Subjects covered include, but are not limited to, organization and administration, staff matters, band management, building engineering services, welfare of indians, farming, education, health, law enforcement, economic development, natural resources, surveys and reserves, rights of way, leases, miscellaneous land matters, estates and enfranchisement.
