Information additionnelle

The records of Keith Spicer document the full range of activities in which he was involved over his life. Information is found about high school and in particular university education, his work as a university teacher, his extended career in all areas of communication, including journalism, speech writing and giving, and communications training, his years in public life and his private interests.

The textual records consist of correspondence, reports, subject files, various notes, drafts, articles and texts written or received by Keith Spicer during the course of his public career and private life.

The computer files date from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s and concern a variety of Spicer's activities.

The photographs, which include negatives, black and white and colour prints, are concerned almost exclusively with Mr. Spicer's public career, particularly from the mid 1970s to the mid 1990s. Many of the images are unidentified, although identifiable as being from one part or another of Mr. Spicer's career as journalist (both print and television) and public servant (Commissioner of Official Languages; Chairman of the Canadian Radio-Telecommunications Commission; Chairman of the Citizen's Forum on the constitution).
