Biographie / Histoire administrative

Following the creation of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in 1966, agencies were joined to form larger administrative units called districts. The Thompson River District Office, located in Kamloops, B.C., was opened in 1969 as the result of the amalgamation of the Lytton, Kamloops, and Nicola Agencies. In 1976, the Thompson River District Office was merged with the Kootenay-Okanagan District Office to form the Central Interior District Office. GARDD accession #V1996-97/816
