The collection contains works of Canadian and foreign subjects.. These include several of the original drawings done by Roper, and used as illustrations in his best known publication "By Track and Trail through Canada" (London, 1891; works depicting Hamilton and the Muskoka area in Ontario, the Rocky Mountains, Vancouver Island, pioneer activities, and native peoples; views of England, Australia, Switzerland and Ohio..
Included are two sets of Roper's "Muskoka: Picturesque Playground of Canada" (Toronto, 1883).. Works by Edward Roper.
"The Children's Treasure" (London, 1870), which includes illustrations.. works by Edward Roper.
Two of paintings by Roper; members of the family at the Roper grave.
Two photographs of paintings are kept with documentary art material.
