Sub-series consists of journals of activities kept by Sir William Johnson, Superintendent of Indian Affairs and by his successor Colonel Guy Johnson, as well as complete minutes of several Indian Councils. Included are the minutes of a council with Pontiac, 1766 (Vol. 1829) and minutes of the Detroit Councils, 1781-1790 (Vol. 1832).

Instrument de recherche

Finding aid 10-1 is a computer-generated volume list. Records now found in volumes 1822-1826 and 1829-1832 were originally contained in volumes bearing different volume numbers. The movement of the records from those containers to their present volumes occurred only after the records were microfilmed. As a result, the microfilm copy of the records identifies them according to their 'old' designation. Researchers using the microfilm should note the following conversion information: vols. 1822-1826 are identified on the microfilm as vols. 4-8; vols. 1829-1832 are identified on the microfilm as vols. 10-13. 10-1 (Électronique)
