Series consists of records relating to the management of Indian Affairs by various commanders at Detroit, Michilimackinac and other western posts, 1771-1855. Also included is an eight page photocopy of a memorandum from the merchants of Montreal concerning the trade at Michilimackinac, 1786.

Instrument de recherche
Finding aid 10-1 is a computer-generated volume list. Records now found in volumes 1836-1837 were originally contained in a volume bearing a different number. The movement of the records from that container to volumes 1836-1837 occurred only after the records were microfilmed. As a result, the microfilm copy of these records identifies them according to their 'old' designation. Researchers using the microfilm should note that the records identified on the reel as being contained in volume 16 are, in fact, the records known today as volumes 1836-1837. 10-1 (Électronique)
