Portée et contenu
Series consists of general operation records created and maintained by the RCMP. Records cover, but are not limited to, visits of Queen Elizabeth II (1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s) and by foreign heads of state (including Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton) and other dignitaries, visits by prime ministers P.E. Trudeau, Joe Clark and Brian Mulroney to different Canadian cities, NATO meetings, protests and demonstrations (such as Innu Protest at Voseys Bay, Davis Inlet, Clayoquot Protest and Kennedy River Bridge Protest, First Nations demonstration on Parliament Hill, "Native Peoples Caravan", student riots and demonstrations), war crimes and criminals (task force and investigations), hate literature, Animal Liberation groups, Rainbow Warrior, motorcycle gangs, Asian organized crime, Doukhobors, prohibited weapons, cigarette smuggling, false passports and visas, suicides in cells, complaints against the RCMP, assistance of other police forces.
