Biographie / Histoire administrative
In 1966 the Pas Agency was amalgamated with the Nelson River Agency to form the Pas District Office. The Pas District Office was responsible for the following bands: Chemahawtn Band (43); Moose Lake Band (44); Nelson House Band (45); Mathias Colomb Band (46); The Pas Band (47); Grand Rapids Band (48); Barren's Land Band (49); Fox Lake Band 50); York Factory Band (51); Shamattawa Band (52); Split Lake Band (53); Churchhill Band (54); Shoal River Band (55); Fox Lake Band (57). In 1975 the Pas District Office was renamed the Thompson District Office. Researchers should consult the records of predecessor Agencies and the successor District Office, as well as the records of the Manitoba Regional Office.
