Textual records The finding aid consists of the name, file number and box location of each record. The finding aid was modified in May 2006 when a file was returned to Citizenship and Immigration Canada when it was realized that it's retention period had not yet expired. This accession consists of personal immigration case files created and maintained at the National Headquarters office of Citizenship and Immigration Canada along with transportation loan case files. The personal immigration case files typically contain records of application, approval and entry into Canada, and in some cases deportation. Supporting documentation includes photographs, letters, transcripts and correspondence between departmental officials and interested parties. The transportation loan files document the provision of funds to individuals immigration to Canada.
