Portée et contenu
This watercolour was acquired from a dealer along with a number of paintings, prints and drawings by Edward Roper and was catalogued as a Roper after it arrived at the Archives. The dealer's bill (RG37 vol. 339, file 1929 103) reveals that it was not identified as by Roper, in fact no artist's name was associated with it at the time of the purchase. The present attribution to Bedwell was made by D. Schoenherr based on comparisons to other work by Bedwell in the Archives collection.
