Accession consists of material created and accumulated by Maxwell Yalden during his career as a civil servant with the Department of External Affairs, Department of the Secreatary of State, as Deputy Minister of Communications, as Commissioner of Official Languages, as Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Human Rights Commission and as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee. Records include correspondence, memos, meetings, reports, speeches, presentations, exposes, drafts of manuscripts, texts, articles, notes, diaries, biographies, curriculum vitae, newspaper clippings, photographs, caricatures and awards such as appointment certificates, medals, etc.
