Resolution of the National Council of Women of Canada, Asking the Government to Promote the Employment of Women in the Marine Industry, ca. 1917
Given the importance of shipping to the war, the members of the National Council of Women of Canada, inspired by their British and American sisters, asked the government to promote the employment of women in the marine industry.
