Companions from Another World
| Mackenzie King took up spiritualism in the 1920s, when it was a popular fad, and continued to practice it throughout his life. Together with his friend Joan Patteson and mediums such as Mrs. Weidt, King communed with a variety of spirits, including his mother, his grandfather William Lyon Mackenzie, Wilfrid Laurier, Saint Luke and Saint John, all of whom he consulted on his career and life. |
