Trois coupables possibles, ([1951?])
The canny publishers of Trois coupables possibles attempted to draw in audiences by capitalizing on the name recognition of author Marcel Allain, whom they credit as the "auteur de Fantomas!" In fact, Allain was only half of the team behind the phenonenally popular adventures of the master criminal Fantomas; the other half was co-author Pierre Souvestre. The depiction of the woman on the cover is distracting enough that it's easy to miss the subtle wound in her throat.
