The Binkertons, twins Josh and Emma and their little sister, Libby, are on their way to the swimming pool on the hottest day of the year. Against their better judgement, they stop by the Good Times Travel Agency for a cold drink. Suddenly they find themselves in the Ice Age, some 20,000 years ago.

Adventures in the Ice Age is the latest addition to the Good Times Travel Agency series written by Linda Bailey. Combining a comic-book format with carefully researched historical information about life in the last Ice Age, this book is sure to appeal to a wide range of readers. The pen and ink and watercolour illustrations by Bill Slavin are engaging and an ideal companion to this lively story.

Earlier this year, Adventures in the Ice Age won the 2006 Hackmatack Children's Choice Book Award for English non-fiction.
