Emily is invited by her aunt for a five-star holiday. She can hardly wait; she has been dreaming about going to Disneyland for a long time. to her astonishment, her aunt has planned a trip north to visit her friends at an isolated cabin without plumbing or electricity. Emily's surprise holiday is worse than she imagined. There are so many chores to do every morning! At the cabin, Blossom, a young girl her own age has been waiting for a friend to play hockey with but Emily does not even know how to skate. Both girls have to accept each other. Emily learns about herself and begins to enjoy the beauty of the northern wilderness.
