Pépin, Pépita, Pistachou and Pistachette, a family of penguins, live happily in the Far North. But a strange adventure is in store for Pépin. The small island of ice he is standing on breaks off from the main floe and floats all the way to the land of giraffes! There he meets Gilda the giraffe, Chambellan the camel, Farouka the ant and Sumo the baby mouse. Each of these new friends will help Pépin find his way back home. The illustrations, which span almost two pages each in this large book, complement the text beautifully.
