Finding Fossils and Digging Dinosaurs
Albertosaurus, named for Alberta where it was first found, was a carnivore. This 25- to 30-foot-long (7.6 to 9.1 metres) dinosaur lived 80 million to 75 million years ago. This early member of the tyrannosaur family was a fierce hunter. It had a huge head and powerful jaws.
