Before There Were Schools

As a young person, family, friends and school are probably the three most important things in your life. Apart from the time you spend with your family, most of your waking hours are spent in school-like it or not! It is hard even to imagine what life would be like if you did not have to go to school.

Try to travel back 200 years ago, to Canada before Confederation. What do you think your school would have been like? Would you have even had a school to attend? What do you think you would have been like?
