Tents

Tents have been used for centuries. Tents were a quick shelter from wind, rain and snow for people on the move. Homesteaders sometimes used tents until a home could be built. These were made of fabric, such as cotton canvas, and were either bought from a manufacturer or made by hand.

For more on tents, check out the Books and Links section.
