COPEARMS Inquiry on Users' Involvement in Electronic Rights Management Systems (ERMS) COPEARMS is a European consortium grouping experts specialised in the consulting and management of Electronic Rights Management Systems (ERMS), with the main objective of pushing to ERMS interoperability. ERMS designates any information technology system or tool that provides appropriate technical mechanisms to protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) attached with multimedia documents, or to mediate access to digital resources according to specified rights. ERMS extends the concept of Electronic Copyright Management System (ECMS).
