In February 2006, Library and Archives Canada began reorganizing the public research areas on the second and third floors of the building at 395 Wellington Street in Ottawa. Renovations to the onsite service areas of Library and Archives Canada reflect the integration of services following the amalgamation of our two institutions. This initiative will enable Library and Archives Canada to provide a truly client-centered service through a comprehensive approach to the dissemination of Canada's documentary heritage.
The reorganization will:
Work carried out in the next phases of renovations will cause some disruption in different service areas. Posters in the lobby will show the projected changes to research spaces. On the second and third floors, other posters will inform you as to the nature, the time frame and the location where you can expect to encounter some type of service disruption.
