(Ottawa) December 28, 2007  -  In light of the recent passing of Oscar Peterson, Library and Archives Canada would like to pay homage to an outstanding musician and great Canadian. Library and Archives Canada is showcasing Mr. Peterson's accomplishments through a special website entitled, "Oscar Peterson: A Jazz Sensation" that features his biography, discography, personal manuscripts and more.

This website was developed to complement an exhibition which was on display in Ottawa and eventually traveled to Tokyo, Paris, London, Washington and Australia. Contemporary and past audio recordings of Oscar Peterson's music can be heard on this website.
