CMAJ 2000; 162(9)

Highlights of this issue

The older brother of cover artist Shane Armstrong underwent bilateral myringotomy with tympanostomy tube insertion, the most common operation among children in Canada. In this issue, Warren McIsaac and colleagues report a lack of consensus in managing such cases and suggest that the guidelines be revisited (page 1285).
